It’s the arrival of the monsoon
Cooling down summer it’s a boon

Cool breeze heralding signal embryonic
Parched dry lands awaiting the sky tonic

Soaking up the dry lands finally a respite
Replenishing with precious life giving, a sight

Dams filling up reserves for all year through
How would we survive without human tools

It’s misadventures city-breds persevering
Waterlogging, traffic jamming bellowing

It’s the time to soak up some rain
Slush overflowing, manourvering trained

Enjoy the droplets from sky falling
Intense rain pouring lights revealing

Makes me wanna have hot spicy fritters
Fond memories of warmth accompanying cool showers.
