Envy

Why envious of others or of matter
No gain in burning up, self-torture

What I have, is the best for me
Others have, may do no good to me

Envying causing blindspots, to our own boons
Ones we could cherish and ones we could hone

Why take the path which leads to acidifying
May we have the heart to share the joys, rejoicing

Gifts of nature, lying within, in plenty
We gem-cutters, a training, undertaking

Need to get mining and polishing
Finding the gems, we already possessing

There is only heartburn and suffering, envy- busying
We will do marvelous, if we simply count our blessings.
